Our Philosophy

 

If you've dreamed of building your own home for years and have designs or specifications already selected, or maybe you have just begun to plan and have only an idea or a purchased lot, Bohm Builders Inc. believes that you should have every opportunity to build your dreams!

 

A home should be more than a just a structure or an investment to you. It's where you spend much of your time relaxing with family, entertaining friends and enjoying life. We feel a great responsibility to build your dream and view the development process of your home, from the conception of its design to the completion of construction, as the opportunity to craft a home that has all of your imagination in the fabric of its design, with the peace of mind that you can count on in its structure for years to come.

 

Our Story

 

The year was 1971, a young man from Shawano, Wisconsin who was also a father and husband, graduated from Stout State University and was employed by a company called Wausau Homes in Wausau, Wisconsin. At that time, Wausau Homes produced single family and multi-family homes at plants in Wausau, Wisconsin and Ottumwa, Iowa. The young man, Randy Bohm, worked in many areas during his few years time at Wausau Homes. Along with many duties he did for the company, he also accepted a transfer and moved his young family from Wausau to Ottumwa, Iowa. After a year in Iowa, Randy and his family, now numbering 4 in the form of a wife and two sons, realized what they really longed for, like any family really longs for was a place to hang your hat, a place of security and comfort and a place to call home. And since Shawano was home, home is where they went. As fate would have it, there was a Wausau Homes dealership available in Shawano in 1973. And in September of that year, Randy and Mary Bohm, founded Bohm Builders Incorporated, opened for business that very same month and started bringing people of Northeast Wisconsin......to the comfort of home. That was 35 years ago. Since September of 1973 Bohm Builders has continued to bring Northeast Wisconsin customers home. Bohm Builders has built over 800 new homes in that time. In the past 35 years Bohm Builders Inc. can list residential homes, college dormitories, hotels, dental offices, chiropractors offices, apartment buildings, Boy Scout Lodge and various shapes and sizes of remodeling projects among completed projects. In the early 1990's both sons officially joined the business. Unofficially, both Pat and Chris worked for the company in some capacity since the late 70's. The Bohm Family prides themselves in a no nonsense blue collar approach to each day and each home project. They know the value of consistency and hard work. This characteristic has helped 800 new home buyers move into brand new homes since 1973. Some of them have had two and even three homes built by Bohm Builders. Not to mention, homes built for the sons & daughters and relatives of past customers. Bohm Builders is a proven home builder and has stood the test of time. During the fall of 2007 Bohm Builders teamed up with Golden Eagle Log Homes of Wisconsin Rapids and agreed to take on a log home dealership in addition to their original home offerings.  This addition not only shows that Bohm’Äôs are committed to residential needs of Northeast Wisconsin it also shows that Bohm wants to be your full-service builder, and they want to take the time to help you organize your project, assist, and educate you during the entire process!
