Specialty Deck Construction
Let us design and construct your exterior deck. No matter if it's multi-levels, covered, low to the ground, high off the ground, treated , cedar, vinyl or composite material we can do it all. Our preferred treated material is from Southern Yellow Pine. This species of Pine grows very straight and is a harder wood than White Pine or Spruce. We also can frame your deck in treated and cover it with Cedar giving you the rustic look and distinct smell of cedar. One of our favorites is a product called Geo Deck. This is a composite built to be lower maintenance. This product comes in 3 colors for lasting durability. For those of you looking to color coordinate, we offer a vinyl product which comes in several colors to give you the lowest maintenance of all of these choices. We also can incorporate many ideas for benches, railing and decking and remain compliant with your local building codes. Here are some examples of decks we've constructed.
Removal of Existing Structures
Also known as Demolition. If your plans include removing and replacing the old cottage or home, maybe a shed or garage that is in the way, we have years of experience with this work. We will include the costs of demolition in our pricing and completely tear down and remove whatever it is that you want gone and cleanup the old foundation and prep the site prior to the excavation for your new home or cottage. Detached Garage Construction
Not enough room for all the toys? Creating more workshop area? See us about building you a one or two story detached garage. We've built garages that cost more than some homes, we've built garages that are simple and small enough to be glorified storage sheds. Whatever your needs are, we can help. Let us design it or bring us your sketch or design and we can draw it up to suit your needs. One car, two car, three car, four car, five boat size you name it we can do it. Unique Custom Projects
Over the years we have been involved in many different types of projects. We have built dormitories at St. Norbert's in DePere, dental and chiropractic clinics in Shawano and several other light commercial buildings. One of the most recent one's was a Multi-Use Bunkhouse at Gardner Dam Boy Scout Camp in Langlade County near White Lake (East of Antigo). We were chosen by the Bay Lakes Council in Appleton to be the builder for this project. This project took on special meaning as the Bohm Family has been involved in Scouting for over 30 years. We were very proud to bring this new bunkhouse concept to fruition and help keep these programs thriving for the education and betterment of our Wisconsin youth. Barrier Free Shower
Hand Held Shawer Faucett and Adjustable Bar
Grab Bars
This style of shower lacks the front lip on the front of the shower and allows a wheelchair to be rolled into the module. These are deeper than typical and wider than typical. Grab bars are usually mounted as well as a seat. We also would ordinarily have a Hand Held Shower Faucett for ease of bathing and control of water direction.
Toilets
Having a Taller Toilet and sometimes with an Elongated Oval Seat is a popular choice for outfitting the bathrooms.
Wider Doors
Let us design the home for wider doors or hallways. We can also incorporate ideas for useage of closets and kitchen work space to simplify the flow.
Handicap Appliances
Controls on the front of the appliance eliminates the requirement of a long reach across the appliance if you are using crutches, a walker or wheelchair device.
Door Hardware
Oftentimes levers can be manipulated better than knobs if you have arthritic hands
Hard floor surfaces
Such as laminate floors or ceramic tile or hardwood floors can assist getting around ahome with wheelchair. Thinner carpet pad with a low knap carpet can achieve this as well.
